During the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone rolled up their sleeves for more than just vaccines.
UFAS-UWEC worked hard to ensure that staff, faculty, and students were as safe and protected as they could be.
We lobbied for additional workplace health and safety protections for Student Health Services workers who were the frontline workers testing and treating UWEC students who became ill.
We launched a public health campaign, featuring original artwork from Professor Ned Gannon and original graphic design from Professor Ellen Mahaffy, to promote vaccination and debunk anti-vaccination myths.
And we organized a public forum for faculty experts to share lessons learned about how public education is being transformed during the pandemic and how we can continue to serve our students under changing circumstances.
